About me

After completing my studies at the University of Oregon, London University, and Leiden University, I settled in the Netherlands, where I have built a meaningful career as a fully qualified clinical psychologist. For over 20 years, I’ve worked with children and adolescents in clinical day-treatment programs, outpatient mental health services, and the Dutch special education system. I’ve also collaborated closely with international schools, offering specialized support to students and their families in multicultural environments.

Currently, I am furthering my expertise through postdoctoral specialization in child and adolescent psychology, deepening my knowledge to better serve this important population.

In addition to my clinical practice, I’ve been an educator in the Netherlands, teaching developmental psychology and psychopathology at both applied science and academic universities. I’ve also mentored psychology interns and supervised theses, sharing my expertise with the next generation of mental health professionals.

As the mother of three multilingual and multicultural adult children, I understand firsthand the joys and challenges of raising children in diverse cultural and linguistic contexts. This personal experience, combined with my professional background, gives me a unique perspective to support families navigating similar journeys.
