A step-by-step guide to therapy, assessments, school support, and what to expect.
Whether you're seeking therapy, an assessment, or a school lecture, I aim to make the process as smooth and supportive as possible.
Here's what to expect:
Assessments
A frequent question I get is:
"Can you do an ADHD or dyslexia assessment?"
Short answer: Yes.
Longer answer: I only conduct assessments when they are necessary and beneficial to your child’s development and well-being.
The process:
-
Intake meeting: Includes a developmental history and screening tools
-
Evaluation of needs: We determine together whether full testing is needed
-
Purpose-driven: All assessments follow the Dutch handelingsgerichte diagnostiek model, meaning they're focused on providing real, actionable support
What I assess:
-
Cognitive functioning
-
Emotional well-being
-
Behavioral patterns
-
Learning/literacy challenges
Insurance & Reimbursement
Coverage in the Netherlands:
Most insurance companies in the Netherlands only reimburse youth mental health care provided by professionals who have direct contracts with them. I currently do not have contracts with insurers, but I’m happy to help you navigate the system.

Tip: Contact your insurance provider directly to understand your personal coverage.
